Two Los Angeles Child Welfare Agencies Announce Intent to Merge
(March 31, 2016, PASADENA, CA) Hillsides, a premier provider of child welfare services headquartered in Pasadena, has been awarded a $4,500 grant from the Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts (PSHA).  The funds will be used for the Music Education Program at Hillsides
(PASADENA,CA, March 31, 2016) Stephanie Castillo hasn’t lived at Hillsides for more than 20 years. Yet it still feels like home. When she visits, which she does regularly, she makes sure to see one person in particular: childcare counselor Lucy Garabedian.    “Lucy was the first person to nurture me,” says Castillo, 38, who lived at Hillsides Pasadena Residential Treatment Services program between the ages of 10 and 15. “I consider her my mom.”
(March 23, 2016, PASADENA, CA)  Want to be an across-the-board winner at Santa Anita Park? Join Hillsides for its annual A Day at the Races at 11 a.m. on Sunday, April 10, 2016.  No matter how your horses place, everyone is a winner because the proceeds benefit the children, youth, and families of Hillsides.
(March 16, 2016, PASADENA, CA)  Hillsides is lucky to have a local poet, Ashaki M. Jackson, working with the high school seniors at Hillsides Education Center during a five-week poetry workshop.  The program is supported by Poets & Writers, Inc., the nation's largest nonprofit literary organization serving poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers.
